Take Control of Your Dental Care with Our FREE Benefits Analysis

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like being told what to do. I prefer to gather all the available information regarding my choices and then make the decisions I feel are best for my family. I believe most people feel the same way and follow a similar approach. Yet, all too often, I see dental patients who let their insurance company decide not only which dental care they receive, but when they receive it. Some common comments we hear are: “I only want what my insurance will cover” or “I don’t have any dental benefits left for this year”. I would rather hear people saying “I have made great use of my insurance benefits, now I want to continue with the work we have started towards achieving my dental health goals”.
I think some of the above comments are related to the fact that insurance companies like to talk about restrictions: waiting periods, “in-network providers”, yearly maximums, etc. Our practice feels we should instead focus on our patients’ health and what is best for them. Just because your insurance may not provide for a certain dental procedure does not mean that you do not want, need, or deserve the care. Insurance companies can restrict what they will pay for, but they cannot restrict your ability to receive quality, timely dental care. They also cannot restrict what you choose to do in reaching your goal of achieving a healthy, bright smile.
Luckily, insurance can be a wonderful benefit if it is fully understood and used as one tool in reaching your goal of great oral health. So let’s change the focus away from what your insurance can’t do for you, to what it can do for you. At our office we offer a FREEBenefits Analysis. Our front office experts will contact your insurance company for you and find out how you can best maximize your benefits at our office. This information will allow you to make a more educated decision and prevent any unwanted payment surprises later, in case your insurance doesn’t pay what you expect them to.
Also remember that if you wait to do recommended dental treatment because your insurance company has a waiting period or you have “maxed out” your insurance for the year, you may end up paying more in the long run. This outcome occurs because cavities, fractured teeth, and infected gums can continue to worsen over time, thus requiring more expensive, time-intensive treatments than they did originally. There are many different options to help cover your dental expenses and supplement the insurance coverage you already have, including a great financing resource, Care Credit. Be sure to ask our front office staff about this option.
Do not let your insurance plan’s restrictions define your dental health goals. Take back control by calling us today for a FREEBenefits Analysis, and let Medical Arts Dental help you achieve your biggest, brightest, and healthiest, most vivacious, effervescent smile possible….with meticulous attention to detail.
